| Your personal key: As a DYABOLA customer you'll get your personal key. Please keep this key. It serves not only as online password; even if you have IP-Access you will need it for the lokal installation of your new databases or updates. |

| IP-Access: For every institution comfortable Internet access is available via IP validation. Without knowing the password the user can access the online databases with the institution's licence. We need IP adresses of your Gateway-Server(s). Please send the adresses for IP validation to info@dyabola.de |

| Network license: As long as the network connects one individual institute or an individual department, no additional costs are incurred. If however a network connects a number of different institutes or departments the campus license price is calculated accordingly. |

| Technical Requirements: The internet user interface is platform indipendent and optimized for browsers of the generation 5/6 with at least XGA resolution and 65'000 colors. Javascript has to be enabled. An usual windows computer will work for local installation of the literature databases. The object/image databases need a more recent windows version (XP, vista, windows 7/32-bit). We recommend fast processors and high speed hard drives. Please refer to the User's Manual for more information. |

| Inquiry engine:
Accesses all databases and is supplied free of charge when a database is purchased. Three versions are available: The web-version: The internet user interface works with every common web-browser. Search of object and image databases: A particular access structure has been tailored to meet the requirements of complex scientific contexts. The object databases have a methodically networked text which permits associative scientific work, guarantees free navigation through the comprehensive information and stimulates impulses for new questions. The new image display has its own image storage, a double display, an index display and a zoom function, so long as the images are of the corresponding size. In addition it is possible to change the contrast and brightness of an image temporarily. Search of literature databases: Every imaginable form and combination of searching has been made possible (according to key-words, catchwords, author, beginning of a title, excerpt from a title, date, etc.). The finely structured key-word system informs the researcher about the very newest and most remote monographs and articles on every subject. If the user only vaguely remembers a citation from the published works of an author- even by referring to certain years - he can search for the beginning of a literature quotation, for the index of a volume of newspapers or any other omnibus, he can even search for a single term he may remember from the title. The presenter of a seminar can call up the literature on the theme of his lecture. Assistants will soon realise the shortcomings of the libraries which are available to them. If an emphasis is to be laid on a particular subject, DYABOLA will provide the list of desiderata. A new transparency is brought to the classics, their activities in various fields, contemporary preferences, etc. |
