The German Archaeological Institute in Madrid has for many years produced a list of new acquisitions with systematic subject headings. Since the beginning of the 1990s, the collection of annual entries has been compiled in a common database. This subject catalogue comprises all aspects of the archaeology of the Iberian peninsular and has special regard to Jewish and Islamic history. Since 1999, a user interface and a manual in Spanish have been available to accompany the CD-ROM. The database is containing about 90,000 subject headings; 30,000 citations of 11,000 authors; only 3700 are monographs. |
