The hairstyles of the archaic Kuroi and Kora are stylised, but also are always integrated in a geometric depth and surface screen. Exact observation of this phenomenon clarifies relationships between workshops, dates and the question of authenticity. It also helps to understand the intellectual concept of early Greek sculpture.
