Formatting codes for data entry
On
these pages the DYABOLA users who wish to record data are informed as
to the formatting codes.
001: Centres the title in the middle of the card (line before
must end with enter)
002: Pushes the title to the right edge of the card (previous line
must end with enter)
003: Begin of proper line
004: Title is only displayed /printed if there is still enough room
on the card.
005: Maximal length of the title which is to be displayed /printed.
The amount of letters must be filed in the abbreviation field of the
column. In the "dictionary" the following text, (e.g. "….") can be filed.
006: Shows the title if it has been attached to a linked title and
not in this one. In the "dictionary" the order number of the link must
be filed (e.g. 000000020001100200 for the inventory number of a book).
007: Shows the line, which has been specially designed, which was
formatted to display a link (in the branch 000000070300 "Formatting
instructions for link lines"). The order number of the format must be
filed in the "dictionary" (e.g. 000000070300100).
008: Shows the title if it is available at the father title. In
the "dictionary" the order
number of the column must be filed.
009: Shows the line, which has been specially designed, which was
formatted to display a link, which is on the father title (in the branch
000000070300 "Formatting instructions for link lines"). In the "dictionary!
the order number of the column must be filed (e.g. 000000070300100).
010: Controls the possible initial text (e.g. place of publication)
which is only set when the title has been allocated. The initial text
must be filed in the "dictionary". Warning: The text can only contain
12 letters.
011: Controls the possible following text, which is only set if
the title has been allocated. Again the following text must be filed
in the "dictionary".
012: Controls the fixed initial text (e.g. InvNo), which is also
set if no title has been allocated. The initial text must be filed in
the "dictionary".
013: Controls the fixed following text, which is also set if no
title has been allocated. Again the following text must be filed in
the "dictionary". Warning: The text can contain a maximum of 12 letters.
014: If a title has been allocated more than once, individual columns
must be made for the display, (e.g. author 1, author 2, author 3, …).
The number must be filed under 014 in the lower level as a number (1,
2, 3 ...). The number must be entered in the abbreviations field of
the column mask.
015: The title is supposed to be only obtained and displayed from
the father title (additional to 008!).
016: If a title is doubly occupied and displayed, set 016 and the
multiple mentions are added in the information bar of the title card.
017: Displays the complete length of the title. Without 017 the
title can appear to be cut off.
018: If the name of the column is to be shown and not and entry
from the catchword list, 018 must be set.
019: Controls the text that is to be displayed if a field is not
occupied. E.g. here columns can be formatted a lists by entering empty
spaces.
020: Takes over the contents of a commentary field.
022: Link parent. If the entry of the father of the linked data
is to be displayed (in the dictionary field enter the column order number
of the entry, not of the link!). Excepting for link lines, 006 must
also always be set. .
